High Fire: High fire glaze colors were developed using a 3% pigment loading in a clear cone 8 glaze (90%) with opacifier included (10%). Representative tiles were fired at 1200˚C with a 1-hour dwell time.
Low Fire: Low fire glaze colors were developed using 3% pigment loading in a clear cone 2 glaze (90%) with opacifier included (10%). Representative tiles were fired at 1090˚C with a 12-minute dwell time.
Body colors were developed at 1% pigment loading in a representative ceramic body composition. Samples were pressed into discs and fired at 1200˚C with a 1-hour dwell time.
